Vocably for Safari on iPhone

Translate any word without leaving Safari

Select a word on any web page, tap Look up, and Vocably shows the translation and saves it to your cards. Setting it up takes about two minutes.

  1. Install the Vocably app

The Safari extension comes with the Vocably app. Install it from the App Store, or update it if you already have it.

    Download on the App Store
  2. Turn on the extension

Open Settings → Safari → Extensions and tap Vocably for Safari.

On iOS 18 and later, Safari is under Settings → Apps → Safari.

    • Switch on Allow Extension.
    • Set vocably.pro to Allow, so you can sign in to your account.

Optionally, set Other Websites to Allow as well, and Vocably will work on every site with no extra steps. The extension is open source, so you can check what it does.

  3. Allow Vocably on a website

Skip this step if you allowed Other Websites in step 2.

Open the website you want to read in Safari and tap the puzzle icon () in the address bar.

Tap Manage Extensions and switch on Vocably for Safari.
